Visualisation

What is Visualisation?

Visualisation is a structured way of using your imagination to create a desired outcome. For example, a footballer may use guided imagery to visualise himself taking a pass and dodging the other players to then kick the ball in the net and score a goal. Or if you are preparing a presentation for a seminar you might practise ‘in your head’ by imagining yourself feeling confident and speaking clearly and eloquently to the audience to visualise a successful outcome.

Your imagination can be a powerful tool to help you overcome anything you want to change really! You can use visualisation to harness the energy of your imagination in a positive way. Unfortunately, many of us use our imagination negatively, for example worry, when we worry, what we worry about usually only exists in our imagination!
